The task of early childhood education is to promote children's broad-based competence. The starting point of pedagogical activities is children's
areas of interest and areas of learning based on different fields of knowledge and skills. They are grouped into five entities:
the rich world of languages, the many forms of expression, me and our community, I explore and act in my environment and I grow, move and develop. The areas of learning are not separate entities that can be implemented separately, but their topics are combined
and applied according to the children's interests and skills.
The aim is to ensure the diversity, integrity and comprehensiveness of activities for children during early childhood education. Children have the right to have diverse experiences in different areas of learning through different working methods. Children's independent and guided play, exploration, movement
and artistic experience and expression strengthen functionality, participation and creativity in activities.
Children are encouraged to ask questions and wonder, as well as to reason and solve problems together. In Karvia, early childhood education is available at the Kissankimallus Daycare Center.
