Morning and afternoon activities
The activity is intended for preschool students and students in 1st and 2nd grades.
The aim of the activity is to provide a safe and familiar place to spend time after school and participate in
under the guidance of trained adults for diverse and refreshing activities.
Play, outdoor activities, guided activities according to the children's interests and abilities, and there is also the opportunity to do homework.
Preschool-aged children also have the right to part-time supplementary early childhood education. Supplementary early childhood education is organised at a daycare centre and is applied for using an electronic early childhood education application.
The morning and afternoon activity times are 6:30-9:00 and 13:00-16:30.
Morning and afternoon activities are free of charge for preschoolers and schoolchildren on a trial basis until 2026.

The Finnish model of hobby
The goal of the Finnish Hobby and Leisure model is to enable every child and young person to have an enjoyable and free hobby during the school day. The municipality of Karvia has received a grant from the Finnish Hobby and Leisure model for the academic years 2023–2024, 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.
