Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the Karvia Municipality website. www.karvia.fi and was prepared / updated on 7.5.2026. The service is subject to the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires that public online services must be accessible. The accessibility of the service has been assessed by RMB Rock My Business Oy.
Digital service accessibility status
The online service mainly meets accessibility requirements.
Identified accessibility gaps:
- The municipality's website may contain old pdf and doc documents that do not meet accessibility requirements (WCAG 1.1.1).
- The map and route listings embedded from the Outdooractive service are missing the title attribute of the iframe element, which may make it difficult for screen readers to recognize the embed. The embed comes from an external service and cannot be edited by the municipality. (WCAG 2.4.1)
- The Custom Facebook Feed plugin used on the homepage has link elements without text content or an aria-label attribute (the plugin's lightbox function). The deficiency is in a third-party plugin and cannot be fixed by the municipality. (WCAG 4.1.2)
