Municipal business policy
Entrepreneurship is the most important resource of a small municipality, and cooperation between entrepreneurs and the municipality must function seamlessly. The entrepreneurs' board and the municipal board meet regularly to discuss current issues. Entrepreneurship education has been implemented in our schools, and in the future, we will also invest in cooperation between schools and entrepreneurs. The Vitality Board's budget reserves money annually for training and marketing support for entrepreneurs, as well as summer employment support. Entrepreneurs are provided with training according to their wishes and needs, and entrepreneurs are met regularly, for example at morning coffee events. Training is provided for both new and existing entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are asked to provide tips on their training needs.
The most important thing in terms of maintaining and increasing jobs is entrepreneurship and encouraging it. Entrepreneurs or job seekers looking for work can also leave their contact information and wishes with the municipality if they wish. We also want to help bring jobs and employees together through our own activities.
The Kankaanpää Adult Education Foundation provides workshop activities, and Karvia has a woodworking and textile department, a recycling center, and the Moon Karvia store.
The mayor's job description also includes promoting entrepreneurship, and the mayor welcomes all entrepreneurs or those planning to become entrepreneurs to discuss their hopes, plans, or problems. All kinds of tips and ideas are welcome.
